It is a non-profit organisation. Its main objectives are::

  1. To take the voice of the parents and to collaborate in everything related to the educational activity.
  2. To take part and to collaborate in the educational and cultural activities of the School.
  3. To take on and to try to solve all the problems that could arise in the education of the pupils.
  4. To encourage all activities related to the Basque language and culture.
  5. To encourage school sports.

The association has an annual budget whose income comes from:

  • Fees of the pupils (in the course 2004-2005, 12 € per pupil).
  • Subsidy of the Basque Government
  • Subsidy through Elkargarri (Federation of Parents´ Associations of pupils of Secondary Education).
  • Subsidies of the Local Government of Biscay

The expenses of the Association are devoted to:

  • Cultural activities.
  • Extra school activities.
  • Sport activities.
  • Help to end-of-year educational trips.
  • Help for the adaptation of the School.

The association meets on the first Thursdays every month at 7:30 p.m.. These meetings are open to all the associates.

The association is ruled by means of the following charges:

  • President: Rafael Mijangos Sarasola
  • Vice-president: Ibone Landa
  • Secretary: Mª Luz Mendezona
  • Treasurer: Mª Regla Peña
  • Members: Asun Amillategui, Javier Granja, Ignacio Díaz-Emparanza, Mª Regla Peña, Begoña Viteri, Rosa Temiño.

It is usual for the APA to present candidates for representatives of the parents in the Organ of Maximum Representation (OMR) (Council).
