School Charter and Main Objectives

Our school community's identity and main goals are summed up in ten prominent features or principles:

1. RESPECT: show respect for people, objects, norms, oneself, environment, and other people's ideas, thoughts and works
2. FREEDOM: besides backing up freedom of speech the boundaries of one's own freedom are to be taken into account, as well
3. SELF-AUTONOMY AND LIABILITY: the promotion of self-autonomy comes along with the teaching of one's own appraisal of responsibilities
4. JUSTICE: in beholding equal opportunities, plurality, integration, appreciation of effort, and teacher's fair role-playing
5. EDUCATING IN AND FOR PEACE: engagement to live in a peaceful atmosphere; awareness of dialogue as the one rightful tool to solve conflicts
6. SOLIDARITY AND COOPERATION: reinforcement of partaking, cooperation, teamwork, sharing of work and responsibilities, and promotion of solidarity projects
7. INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS: activating their skills in the fields of cognition, criti-cism, art, sociology, sensitiveness, dynamism and technology
8. CULTURE AND LEARNING: aimed at reinforcing integrative cultures, productive leisure venues, al-ways keeping the Basque Country as a landmark, promoting plurilingualism, the new technologies, integrative and innovative educational methods, and teacher and parental trainings
9. BASQUE LANGUAGE, AN INSTRUMENTAL AND COMMUNICATIVE DRIVE: to enhance the widest use of our vernacular language we are to behold Basque as one of the mainstays of our culture, a lin-guistic tool for learning and communicating both teachers and students, and in the field of administration; as a tool to set up bilingual contacts with all members of our school community; as a contribution to the normalising campaign of the Basque language, always in a respectful atmosphere of coexistance among the local linguistic registers
10.HEALTH CARE AND HYGIENE: they are conducts to be observed in the dining room, in the classroom and all other school premises; preventive measures are to be taken against tobacco and all sort of drugs; healthy eating habits, disease prevention measures and sporting habits are to be adopted

 

Approval Phases
 
Due to the merging of two schools the School Project of "Aixerrota BHI" school has undergone certain delay in its completion. Nevertheless, the most determining sections were approved in 2001.The remaining two sections are being worked upon.The outlay of all its sections can be seen below:
